Kobe Bryant and
Travis Knight Injured

Kobe Bryant and Travis Knight, who suffered injuries in last night's Lakers vs. Wizards pre-season game in Kansas City, were examined this morning by team doctors at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.

Bryant has a fractured fourth metacarpal in his right hand. He will wear a cast and will be out a minimum of six weeks. Bryant was examined by team doctor Steve Lombardo and hand specialist Dr. Norman Zemel.

Knight has a severely sprained right ankle and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, but will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis. Knight was examined by Dr. Lombardo and foot and ankle specialist Dr. Phillip Kwong.
