Pre Season Starts!!
The Lakers play the first of
eight preseason games on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the ALLTEL Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The opponent is the Washington Wizards. The next night, Oct. 13, the Lakers travel to
Kansas City's Kemper Arena to battle those same Wizards. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.
local time and tickets are now on sale. Be sure to get yours and see Kobe, Shaq and new
coach Phil Jackson.
Off Season Signings!!
On September 30, the Lakers signed second-round draft
pick John Celestand.
On September 29, the Lakers signed free agents John
Salley and Benoit Benjamin.
On September 29, the Lakers signed rookie Melvin
Levett, recently acquired in a trade with the Detroit
Pistons.
On September 8, the Lakers signed Donald Williams
and Andy Panko.
On August 5, the Lakers signed forward Rick Fox to a
